A middle aged woman
Set upon a railroad tie
Heart breaking
A single tear transfixed
To her cheek.
Having to flee as a refugee
To a foreign land
With long scarf and woolen coat
To save her from the unknown
Of a vast and challenging place.
The fear and loneliness
Of those who came before
In the days of Ellis Island.
Going with her husband
To a place not of their birth.
Set upon a railroad tie
Heart breaking
A single tear transfixed
To her cheek.
Having to flee as a refugee
To a foreign land
With long scarf and woolen coat
To save her from the unknown
Of a vast and challenging place.
The fear and loneliness
Of those who came before
In the days of Ellis Island.
Going with her husband
To a place not of their birth.

Tears Frozen in Time
This poem was actually written in 2001, after the attempted assassination on myself in 2000 by former US President Bill Clinton, while it was in notes for a time; it was put into the final form that one see’s now, on 10 May 2006.
The intent was the compassion of understanding for immigrants, having to leave or not live in there own country; for their own reasons, usually not there wish. But as for myself, taken to a place; where I was most hotly not wanted and discrimination towards Muslims and Jews was well seen, with most assuredly subjected upon at every turn to be at too many times; life threatening.
The section that was in notes was partly a hard event in my life, the woman in tears with the scarf and wool coat, was actually me; in my case, the injustice of being held in a country against my will, since my birth.
The finalized part was for anyone that had ever been a refugee or immigrant to the US and from my understanding; how they must have felt or feel.
As for Neil Diamond's "America," the first time I ever heard it; I was in a US "Siberia" death camp and I laid on the floor in a flood of hopefully silent tears and to my surprise no one heard me.
"Life is meant to be fair, but not in a Democracy; for this is not the intention."
Ellis Island: "The Animal House"
US WASP (White, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant, pre-1961)
From US history, the first colonial "Forefather's" (1620); later coined by author Daniel Webster in 1820 as the "Pilgrim Fathers," where members of the Christian English Separatist Church. A radical, extremist, superstitious, dictatorial religious fraction of Christian Puritanism. Whose leader and later first colonial Governor until 1656 was William Bradford, who died in 1657. The reality of the ship called the "Mayflower," was these extremist's where cast out of Europe being put adrift and by just dumb luck, stumbled unto the America's shoreline. There appearance was ragged, dirty, with a high body stench and half starved; due to poor rationing of there food stores. The reason these extremist where cast out of England, was due to there attempts to overthrow the Church of England and the political system, that led to the English Civil War; which further created extensive suppression within the country. Since this period, there has been a resounding conflict and a rather firm non-alliance between what finally became known as the US and with England (UK) to this day. For a time, this firm non-alliance came into global question due to questionable ideals concerning former UK PM Winston Churchill and his secret Nazi meetings that included former US President Franklin Roosevelt; a known Nazi. Churchill, was later found to have a degenerative mental disorder. As those over the years, from England that had wished to immigrate to the US; many had been deported being constantly on the US Watch List. The greatest upheaval between the US and England within the twentieth-century had to do with the US involvement with Nazism, for England was not actually allied with the US even during this time and the US invasion of Israel in 1901, for England as is now; allied with Israel continually fighting against the US on the Israel issue of freedom from US Occupation. As to the US's alleged "special relationship" with the UK, has to do with a falsification that became a case of criminal blackmail concerning when the UK came to the defense of Israel against the US trying to occupy the country. Where British soldiers fought side-by-side with Muslims and Jews, too defend Israel against the US invasion under orders from the crown and eventual US Occupation. The UK was also up-in-arms over the US death camps that where in Israel, the mass US genocide of Israeli's and the US's illegal prisons in Israel. It should be taken into account that even prior to the US border closings during the European portion of the Holocaust, that over sixty percent of Jewish and Muslim immigrants to Ellis Island was declared unfit by US discriminatory standards and deported. Many deported, would later be murdered during the European portion of the Holocaust.
Overtime, others highly discriminated against by the US at Ellis Island; where black Africans and Asians.
Classification for US unfitness was not just do to physical make-up where unorthodox human (and animal) experimentation did occur; but clothing, culture, religion, language and the US in particular, still considers anyone different then themselves as mentally substandard, "Moron!"
A portrait of the author Pearl S. Buck taken in 1932, just one year after the publication of her bestselling classic, "The Good Earth." Buck not only had an impeccable reputation globally, but was active in many welfare agencies particularly towards the Chinese; up until her death in 1973.
In November 1955 Buck wrote a letter to the editor of the New York Times protesting the closer of Ellis Island:
I have friends who have been held on Ellis Island pending the decisions as to their status in the United States. Their stay on Ellis Island was distressing enough, but now that Ellis Island has been close for reasons of economy, we are told, their conditions are most unfortunate. The men are sent to a house of detention in White Plains [New York] and the women to a prison, also in Westchester, N.Y. Here their plight is exactly the same as though they were common criminals. They are locked up with murderers, drug addicts and other degenerate types. Their food is inadequate, their bed mattresses dirty. They have little opportunity to get fresh air and they must perform labor as the criminal prisoners perform. Attorney General Brownell has assured us that upon closing Ellis Island all persons would be treated with humaneness. This is not being done. The sorry fact is, however, that intelligent and good persons are treated as though they had committed crimes.
All detainees that were imprisoned were deported, classified by the US as undesirables.
"Life is unfit for man or beast."
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these — the homeless, tempest-tossed — to me;
I lift my lamp beside the Golden Door.
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these — the homeless, tempest-tossed — to me;
I lift my lamp beside the Golden Door.
Even before the dedication of the Statue of Liberty on 28 October 1886, the words upon her plaque were long overturned. According to US history, anything associated with the statue had no intention with the association of immigration. Those attempting to immigrate, especially at Ellis Island would find an extensive opposite of what had been seen upon there boat entering New York Harbor-for the US did not want the "poor", "tempest-tossed" or "the tired wretched"-they were deported as undesirables and a burden on US society.
Those under completely different guidelines, have been the numerous people around the globe that have been kidnapped an/or taken hostage from their respective country by the US. The second influx since the black African slave period was those from China which began about 1827 until about 1868 (when an US immigration law came into being claiming the Chinese survivors as undocumented, where immigration agents commenced raids in Chinatowns; arresting these Chinese and deporting them) , who where kidnapped off the streets in China by the US as slave laborers on the US railroad system; who were forced to live in dangerous, tortuous, heinous unsanitary conditions. Too many Chinese, died under these conditions.
Any immigrant while on Ellis Island, could be forcibly pressed into slave labor by any of the US Immigration staff. The US Immigration staff, also actively robbed those held on Ellis Island and had been known to murder any immigrant. As well as other forms of theft, under the guise of confiscation of any property belonging to an immigrant upon arrival; especially in suitcases and steamer trunks.
The large cemetery on Ellis Island, has in latter years been obliterated.
While the US appears to have a long history of extreme global paranoia, for any country they where having some type of disagreement or committing abuse upon during any given period, those from said country where always refused entry and deported. Said countries on the list, have been all countries the US has falsely claimed as allies. Those most permanently on this watch list since the 1901 US imposed Pogroms, is the Middle East and especially those Semitic in origin.
Spring: Let the River Run
Corridor number 9, Ellis Island: By 1955, Ellis Island was already in extreme disrepair and the US immigration quotation was only two percent. The majority of persons that where subjected to the abominable conditions at Ellis Island; called the place, "The Animal House."
